Frisco 1630 In Action at Illinois Railway Museum (Union, Illinois) |
Description: |
Steam 2-10-0 (Decapod) one of the Locomotives built for the Tsar of Russa, but never shipped. This engine was sold to Eagle Picher by the Frisco along with Frisco 1615, 1621, 1631 and 1632. The crew of the Engine consisted of Engineer, Fireman and Head End Brakeman. Because the cab was small, the Engineer sat on the right side, Fireman on the Left, but the Head End Brakeman sat in the Doghouse. The Doghouse is the structure on the tender. |
