Deval Tower and CN/Metra (ex-SOO) UP/Metra (ex-CNW) Crossing  Contributor's Pick!       
Deval Tower has not been used for Interlocking Control since a fire in 2004 destroyed the interlocking equipment on the 1st floor. Track on the right is the single track CN (ex-SOO) while the tripple track is UP (ex-CNW) Northwest Line. Chicago is to the right. Deval sets in a Triangle formed on 2 sides by the tracks in the picture and the UP (ex-CNW) Freight Proviso Yd. to Milwaukee Line crossing from Left to Right behind the tower. The Crossing of the CN and UP Freight line straight ahead in this picture is the on a bridge over Rt. 14 (Northwest Hwy).
